Casey council includes:

Beaconsfield, Berwick, Blind Bight, Cannons Creek, Clyde, Clyde North, Cranbourne, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne North, Cranbourne South, Cranbourne West, Devon Meadows, Doveton, Endeavour Hills, Eumemmerring, Fountain Gate, Hallam, Hampton Park, Harkaway, Junction Village, Lynbrook, Lyndhurst, Lysterfield South, Narre Warren, Narre Warren North, Narre Warren South, Pearcedale, Tooradin and Warneet. 

Tree Removal Permit

No need for permit (if no overlay), unless native tree.  

Permit not required for native tree if: 

  • Native vegetation that is dead. (This exemption does not apply to a standing dead tree with a trunk diameter of 40 centimetres or a height of 1.3 metres above ground level or more
  • Emergency works 
  • To enable operation, maintenance or building of fence 
  • Pruning/lopping for maintenance if less than 1/3 of the tree is removed 
  • To enable the use or maintenance of a building constructed in accordance with a planning or building permit issued before 15 September 2008 (within 10m of building) 
  • Also check that there aren’t any covenants or caveats for trees on Title.
