Exciting Opportunity for a Qualified Arborist at Cutting Edge Tree Services!

We have been providing quality tree care for over 20 years to a large client base of residential and high-profile commercial locations across Melbourne. Our operations are run from our well-equipped depot in Oakleigh East.

Our work is diverse and stimulating. You won’t be stuck in repetitive line clearance jobs.

We pride ourselves on these four areas:

1. QUALITY – We have a reputation in the industry for conducting tree work to the highest quality standards, with a particular niche in fine pruning work. We invest in the right tools such as electronic secateurs to ensure we have what we need to make the quality cuts our clients expect. We carry out all our work according to Australian Standards.
    
2. SAFETY – We operate a safe work environment with a well-maintained fleet of trucks, chippers, mini-loaders and EWP. We do not tolerate unsafe practices on the work site.
    
3. CULTURE – We are a tight-knit team with a collaborative, supportive culture. Trust and respect is very important to us. Everyone pitches in and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done well.
    
4. DEVELOPMENT – We have a focus on continuously developing our people from day one. For example, we give our trainees immediate experience climbing trees, rather than expecting they ‘do their time’ on the ground for a year or more which is common in the industry.

Preferred Skills

Your New Role:

• Climbing
• Engaging with customers
• May involve EWP work 
• Assisting the grounds crew when necessary
• Training new team members and apprentices
• Ensuring the team adheres to OH&S procedures and policies
• Playing a key role in our company’s growth and development
• Collaborating with colleagues who share your passion for Arboriculture

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Proficiency in performing high-standard pruning work
• Technical rigging and dismantling experience
• Cert III Arboriculture qualification or equivalent/higher
• Strong work ethic, courtesy, and punctuality

Preferred, but Not Essential:

• Medium rigid truck license
• Traffic control ticket
• White card
• Manual driver’s license
• 2 years of regular climbing experience
• EWP ticket
